About Us

Gibson Hewitt & Co, was formed in 1988 by Lynn Gibson and Robert Hewitt who at that time were both senior managers with Touche Ross (now Deloitte & Touche) where they conducted investigative and reconstruction work.

Our aim is to provide a professional and personal service assisting business to solve problems and manage change whether through growth or financial constraints and insolvency. All clients have regular contact and input from us. In general, our strategy is to try and get the management to maximise the potential of their business.

In 1998, we formed Gibson Hewitt Outsourcing Limited to provide Outsourcing and Company Secretarial services in support of the Practice's clients. This business uses the trading name - InsideOut. Paul Guilfoyle joined as a Consultant during 2003 and in addition InsideOut has emerged as a provider of general practice accountancy and tax services.

Both partners are Licensed insolvency practitioners and regularly take appointments. The firm is regulated in the conduct of Investment business by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.

The Partners:

LYNN GIBSON, BA (Econ) FCA, FABRP. Qualified in 1978. She has extensive experience in completing viability reviews, preparing and implementing business plans which improve management efficiency. Where necessary, she has instigated corporate restructuring prior to obtaining additional funding for businesses. Lynn regularly gives talks to the Institute of Directors and the Chamber of Commerce.

ROBERT HEWITT, FCA, FABRP. Qualified in 1979. He has extensive experience in completing viability reviews, fund raising and in assisting developing companies and start up ventures; working with the management either as an advisor or as a director. Robert has served as a director of both Public and private companies and as Trustee or advisor to Charities.

Consultant:
PAUL GUILFOYLE, BA ACA. Trained and qualified with Deloitte Haskins & Sells during the 1980s, he has over 20 years experience ranging from Partner in a general accountancy practice responsible for personal and business tax services to a number of financial appointments in the City. Paul has extensive experience of servicing both business and individuals. He is also engaged as a consultant to the legal profession where he advises on a wide range of trusts and tax issues.
